This week’s economic releases take a back seat to the negotiations with Iran. Last week the President gave Iran 10 days, that expires next Monday, US troops on the move. The potential for day-to-day volatility in markets is extreme.
It isn’t just Iran, there is still inflation expectations and employment.
This is employment week, Wednesday ADP private jobs expected +40K from +63K in February. The BLS March employment on Friday, NFP jobs +55K after BLS reported February jobs declined 92K, private jobs +56K from -86K, unemployment rate unchanged at 4.4%, average hourly earnings month/month +0.3$ from +0.4%, year/year +3.8% the same as February.
Other key data this week; Tuesday March consumer confidence index, February JOLTS job openings, February retail sales (month/month +0.4%). Thursday weekly jobless claims (213K from 210K).
