This morning rates are better following the lead in crude prices, oil price down $6.00 at 8 am ET. Last Friday the 10 year note yield increased 6 bps to the highest since October 2023, MBS prices -25 bps. This morning the 10 began -4 bps and MBS prices started +21 bps.
This is employment week, July employment data will be reported on Friday. BLS will release its data, in the meantime other employment releases, tomorrow June JOLTS job openings,(7.350 mil from 7.594 mil) Wednesday July ADP July private jobs (75K from 98K in June), Thursday weekly jobless claims (201K from 197K).
At 10 am July ISM manufacturing index expected at 54.0 from 53.3, the index increased to 55.6.
