The last two weeks of the year are doldrums. Not much on the calendars and skeleton staffs. This year even more so with uncertainty about what data is released and what data is delayed.
Monday:
There are no data points Monday
1 pm ET Treasury will sell $69B of 2 year notes.
Tuesday:
October durable goods orders (-1.5% month/month); Q3 preliminary GDP (+3.2%), PCE annual rate (+2.7%), Conference Board’s December consumer confidence index (91.9 from 88.7), $70B 5 year note auction.
Wednesday:
Weekly jobless claims (225K), MBA mortgage applications, $44B 7 year note auction. Stocks close at 1 pm, bonds at 2 pm.
Thursday:
MERRY CHRISTMAS.
Friday:
Markets open on Friday but no data on the calendar.
At 1 pm $69B 2 year note auction.
