MBS prices higher to start the day. Traders looking ahead to May CPI tomorrow and PPI on Thursday.
There are no economic reports today that will move markets; the NFIB small business optimism index expected at 96.0 reported at 95.3. April US trade deficit expected at -$55.8B hit at -$55.9B, imports into the United States rose by 2.0%, exports rose 2.6%.
At 10 am May existing home sales thought to be at 4.08 million from 4.02 million, details this afternoon.
This afternoon at 1 pm Treasury will sell $58B of 3 year notes.
Tomorrow May consumer price index, CPI. Month/month overall +0.5% from +0.6%, year/year 4.2% from 3.8%; core month/month +0.3% from +0.4%, year/year core 2.9% from 2.8%.
