Economic data this week was much stronger than thought, here and in Europe. September purchasing managers indexes were strikingly strong, weekly jobless claims yesterday remain at 60 year lows. August durable goods orders this morning better than thought, expected -0.4%, reported unchanged.
Talks between the US and Iran moving forward. Iran said it offered to open the Hormuz Strait and resume nuclear talks. Talks between the US and China proceeding, according to reports China wants to cool the war, crude oil lower this morning. A deal will drop the price of oil and take a little pressure off inflation worries.
