At 9:30 am ET the DJIA opened -279 after trading down 400 overnight, NASDAQ opened -236, S&P -54. 10 year at 9:30 am 4.38% +5 but down from 4.41% overnight; overnight trading thin with Hong Kong and most of Europe closed. FNMA 6.0 30 year coupon at 9:30 am -16 bps from Thursday’s close and -23 bp from 9:30 am Thursday.

At 10 am March leading economic indicators, a report that doesn’t get much focus, expected -0.5%, reported -0.7%.
